ZS 9.0 Using a lot of resources

Postby rich6003 on Fri Jul 15, 2016 9:29 am

I have two servers running Centos 7 x64 - both have the latest ZendServer installed with PHP 7 and are fairly similar in setup.

However, on one server, the following is using up a lot of CPU time:
Code: Select all
/usr/local/zend/bin/MonitorNode /usr/local/zend/etc/monitor_node.ini /usr/local/zend/etc/conf.d -e

I have tried resetting the server and restarting ZendServer, but it jumps back to using 84% of the CPU.
On the other server, the process is down as 0.0% !

I guess this is a problem with the Zend database -

Code: Select all
[Monitor UI 15.07.2016 09:22:16 ERROR] Exception caught: QSafeSqlQuery::exec -> error in query: delete from events where event_id IN (select id from tmp_events). [database is locked Unable to fetch row]

I think when I upgraded to ZendServer 9 on the other server, I had some issues and had to delete a directory as well as uninstalling the previous version...

Maybe that is what is missing from the ZendServer installation instructions - I did uninstall the previous version as per the instructions, but did not delete any directories....

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the troubles you've experienced when installing ZS 9 - indeed the fact that Zend Server uninstall left some nonempty directories is a bug, which I hope we might be able to fix in one of the forthcoming maintenance releases.

I overcame the issue by deleting the monitor.db file and then restarting the ZendServer.

If possible, it makes sense to retain the /var/local/zend/etc/ directory when uninstalling - so that hopefully the php settings can be retained
