AWS ECS Cluster join

Postby herrick1 on Tue Jun 13, 2017 11:20 pm

Hi,

we are trying to have Zend Server docker container join the Zend server cluster using AWS ECS and RDS

In ECS, I configured all 5 mysql informations as per the documentation, and I can confirm the values were set correctly by connecting the the docker instance and typing "set"
MYSQL_DBNAME=zendserver
MYSQL_HOSTNAME=xxxxxxxx.ca-central-1.rds.amazonaws.com
MYSQL_PASSWORD=xxxx
MYSQL_PORT=3306
MYSQL_USERNAME=zend

So all 5 values are stored in the environment variables.

If I try to connect using these settings from the docker container, I can query the database without issue.

But the container instance doesnt join the cluster.

When I navigate to the web page on port 10082, I need to specify how I want to configure, it doesnt join automatically.

Is there a log I can check to try to debug why the cluster joining doesnt work ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I've found the logfile /var/log/zs-init.log the first line warns about "Failed parsing user data", I guess that might be the problem ?

Any idea ?
