SOLVED: install phpMyAdmin-3.1.3.1-all-languages on mac os x

Post by smithdg » Wed Apr 01, 2009 7:16 pm

I installed phpmyadmin, set the socket location, and added a blowfish string, and can login fine, but I get the following warning:
The mbstring PHP extension was not found and you seem to be using a multibyte charset. Without the mbstring extension phpMyAdmin is unable to split strings correctly and it may result in unexpected results.
Is there something I need to enable in the php.ini, or from within the zend gui, or did I snatch the wrong phpmyadmin? I only need english. When will the next beta come out, looks like this is behind the other ce's and the the commercial version.

thanks,
Danny
