Hello,

Yes, I still am not able to login to phpmyadmin because I dont know what is the default username and password for login.
I havent specified anything during installation.
Need help.
(I have previously worked with xampp, but i was able to login to phpmyadmin without entering user/pass)
Thanks in advance,

Hi

Before we do the obvious and reset the password please try using "1234" as the password.

if it doesn't work than I'll guide you on how to reset the password.
let me know if it works.

Tnx

Hello,
Thanks for the reply,

The combination (user:root, pw:1234) does not work for phpmyadmin.

Please help.

Thanks,

Hello,

I have given below err msg:

Hi

I suspect that the problem is not in the User/Pass.

the massage you are getting is not "Access denied for user ..." which leads me to believe we have a different problem.

1. please see that the service is up and running (MySql)
2. If the service is up than change the
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['host'] = 'localhost'; to $cfg['Servers'][$i]['host'] = '172.0.0.1';

Please let me know if it worked.

Tnx

Hello,
Sorry for the delayed response.
Do i need to make these changes in config.inc.php file ?
(if yes, I am not able to do any changes because the file is not editable.
If I need to make the changes elsewhere, please let me know the details)

Thanks a lot for your help..

By the way I didnt have to do anything with xampp and i was able to test everything within seconds after installation
without doing any config. Why is Zend so complicated and not user friendly :(

Thanks in advance,

Maheswaran S
