Installer Bug - mysql

Post by gottaloveit » Wed Feb 11, 2009 3:53 am

my environment:
Win Vista Ultimate 64bit
ZendServer-CE-4.0.0R66-Windows_x86.exe 4.0.0-beta1

During install, it stopped with message saying I already had MySQL installed. I did not. I only had MySQL Workbench installed. It was in the path:

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Workbench 5.0 OSS
I removed the MySQL Workbench and then restarted the installer and it worked fine.

I think installer looks for just:

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\

I've reproduced your scenario, and will pass this to the developers right away. Thank you for spotting this issue.

Operating system tested: Windows XP x64
Error message: The Installer has detected that you already have a MySQL installed. To use the MySQL Server provided by Zend Server, uninstall your current MySQL Server and then run the Zend Server Installer again. Click "Ok" to continue without installing MySQL.
