bad_record_mac

Postby bgerrity73 on Mon Dec 19, 2011 11:16 pm

I have recently run into a problem with ZS 9.0.1, I have just upgraded to 9.0.1 because I was promted to do so. When trying to commit I received an error, so I used TortoiseSVN from Windows and it worked.
Then I tried to "roll back" the recent upgrade to 9.0.0, thinking that was the problem, well the rollback didn't work, but I just uninstalled, reinstalled and tried again, same problem. So, I let ZS upgrade me again to 9.0.1 and when trying to create a new project from a repository (using Import), I got the following error:
svn: Received fatal alert: bad_record_mac
svn: OPTIONS request failed on '/<project>'

Now, when I go back to Windows Explorer and right click withTortoise and check-out, no problems with the same repo.

When trying to commit to a repository that was already set-up and working, this error:
Some of selected resources were not committed.
svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: Received fatal alert: bad_record_mac
svn: OPTIONS request failed on '/<project>'

Anyone else had this yet?

I have found my own work around and thought I would share. When you select SVN support from the Welcome screen in ZS 9 it installs subversive, this is one svn plug-in available for Eclipse, the other is subclipse from CollabNet http://subclipse.tigris.org/servlets/ProjectProcess;jsessionid=72E3B411EF19EC1781B2D35572D14833?pageID=p4wYuA.

So, I uninstalled svn support, but unchecking the box on the Welcome screen. Then I installed subclipse using the link above from within ZS, go to HELP | Install New Software ... and then use the link with the Add sites button on top of the dialog box.

To add a repo, use File | Import, not File | New | PHP Project from SVN this will ask you if you want to install svn support, but this is a trick :) A dialog box will open with choices of where to import from, use SVN | Checkout Projects from SVN. Follow the wizard and when it asks if you want to "Check Out As" select the top choice, "Check out as a project configured using the New Project Wizard". The next screen is "Select a wizard", use PHP | Local PHP Project, again don't fall into the trap of using PHP Project from SVN :)

This has been working for me to check out projects and commit changes, albeit only for a day, so I'll let you know if anything changes.

I'm having the same problem. We currently use Zend Studio 8 for our PHP development and I wanted to evaluate the 9 release. Unfortunately we also use SVN extensively and this bug is a deal-breaker for us. Does anyone have a work-around for this (other than switching to subclipse... used it before and I'm not a huge fan) or is there going to be an official fix any time soon?

Is there a fix planned for this?

Subclipse works for SVN support, but then you cannot use all the other features that are in zend studio properly. It creates a bit of a headache.

Hi,

You can workaround this by using the JavaHL connector.
You can install it by following these steps:
A). Windows | Preferences | Install/Update | Available Software Sites.
Check the http://community.polarion.com/projects/ ... date-site/
B). Help | Install new software | Work With... | http://community.polarion.com/projects/ ... date-site/
Open the Subversive SVN Connector, choose JavaHL 1.6.5, and follow the wizard.
