Zend Guard 5.5.0 won't install on Mac Intel, says PowerPC.

Postby mmamedov on Mon Mar 12, 2012 4:11 pm

I downloaded the latest available Trial of Zend Guard 5.5.0 . When trying to install it, it says:

You can't open the application ZendGuard-5_5_0 because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

What the heck? Why would someone ignore Intel based Macs?? Is is by design, or is it some weird error?? Anyone experiencing this?

My System:

Mac mini - Mid 2011
Processor 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6630M 256 MB
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50b)

Please contact out support organization to open a ticket (not the online chat which is sales) and they can give you a potential work around. http://www.zend.com/en/myzend/ajax#general=support

Hi, Kent and Roman,

The package linked to by Roman worked for me (Mac OS X 10.7.4).

Thanks. Perhaps this should be the package on Zend's download page.
