Extension json should be loaded

Postby deathcomp on Tue Mar 27, 2012 3:44 pm

I was disabling some extensions we don't use and I disabled json. Apparently it's need for the zend web admin because All I get now on any page of the web admin is this:

There is a problem with one or more of your server's dependencies:
Extension json should be loaded

However, I can't enable it again from the web admin as that message is all I get. I assume this is a simple change in a certain config file that will enable this again, but I can't find it.

Does anyone know where this can be re-enabled?

Figured it out. Had to go to /usr/local/zendsvr/etc/conf.d/json.ini and add extension=json.so back in there so it loaded it.

I wrote a blog post on this topic (how to disable unused extensions, and which to leave enabled). I update the post when I learn of new extensions that Zend Server needs. I've updated it with 'json' thanks to your post here. I also added "simplexml" because the new toolkit uses it.

Thanks for the link. I had also disabled pdo_mysql thinking it wasn't needed since we aren't using mysql which I found out the same way that zend server needed it and had to enable it back manually.

Wish I had found your blog post first, would have saved me some time.
