Optimizer: Apache-Crash Segmentation fault-OSX 10.6/PHP 5.2!

The specs:
Zend-Optimizer: 3.3.9, 64-bit (ZendOptimizer-3.3.9-darwin9.5-x86_64.tar.gz out of this forum)
No other Extensions installed.
PHP: 5.2.12 (MacPorts)
OS: OSX 10.6.2
Apache 2.2

Hi,

as describes in viewtopic.php?f=44&t=4132 the project isn't deferrable anymore.

phpinfo shows Zend Optimizer 3.3.9 installed!
Trying to decode a Guard-coded php resulting in

Apache Log: [Wed Feb 17 09:54:14 2010] [notice] child pid 68446 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

Uncommenting the ZendOptimizer.so-Line from php.ini leads to a running PHP.

Testing this Version under 10.5 isn't possible cause you can't install 10.5 anymore under the new "Nehalem"-Xserves!
Switching back to 32-Bit isn't possible.

Is there a Chance to get a Optimizer-Version for PHP5.2, OSX10.6 ("darwin10")?
Is there any other User running Guard-Coded php-files successfully under OSX 10.6?

Just to see if we can get to a working bench, could you please install Zend Server CE (http://www.zend.com/en/products/server-ce/downloads) for OSX, with the Loader component and see if your Zend Guard encoded files do work?

The Loader component is the next generation Zend Guard decoder module for PHP.

If the encoded files do work in such setup, we'll know that Zend Optimizer is not compatible with the new OSX server.
If they still be faulty, we'll know that Zend need to architecturally address encoding in OSX 10.6 server.

i've installed ZSCE now. ServerSetup shows that the Guard Loader component isn't installed ("This component is not installed, for instructions see the Installation Guide"). The ZSCE Installation Guide is not very helpful, maybe i didn't found the right one - got this 3-sided one which only says "Zend Guard Loader - The Guard Loader is a Zend extension that loads and runs encoded PHP scripts (Encoded with Zend Guard).".
Is the guard loader already somewhere in the ZSCE-Installation or must this downloaded separately? If so, were can i find the right one or can you obmit a download-path?

What you need to do is turn it on from the Zend Server GUI in the 'Server Setup | Components' tab and restart PHP from the bottom-right blue button 'Restart PHP'.

I am still in need of help cause i am not able to install Guard Loader as seen on my Screenshot. "for Instructions see Installation Guide" isnt very helpful 'cause there are no further instructions.

Are you sure you installed the PHP 5.2 version of the package?

I just tested the latest build and it comes with the Zend Loader module installed, yet turned off.

The 5.3 version of the package does not have Zend Loader since such module, as the Guard encoder for PHP 5.3, is still in development.

Please install the latest version of Zend Server PHP 5.2 and let me know if you still encounter any issue.
