Httpd not starting at boot with Zend Server.

Postby tacojung on Sun Jun 07, 2009 12:21 pm

Hi all,

I've got a small, but annoying, problem. After installing Zend Server CE, httpd won't start at boot. I did an un-install of Zend Server and everything worked fine, only after re-installing Zend Server httpd doesn't come up again at boot. Does anyone have a clue why this is happening?

I'm running Fedora 10 with Webmin CP and apache 2.2.11 (RPM).

Regards, TJ.

Can you see any errors in the Apache error_log file ?
Also, please see your /var/log/messages file for any failing init scripts.

Hello,

When you attempt to start Apache manually by running:
# /etc/init.d/httpd start
Does it work? if not, my suspicion is SELinux, try running:
# setenforce 0
and start Apache once more.
If that's indeed the problem, you can set SELinux to permissive mode permanently by editing:
/etc/selinux/config
If the problem is simply at boot time, please paste the output for chkconfig --list and probe the Apache error.log like Michael suggested.

Let me know if you require further assistance,
May the source be with you,
