Errors, Datacache and Page Cache

Postby trose01 on Mon Jun 29, 2009 6:17 am

Hi,
We're getting the following errors in the admin-interface right after installing it on the Server. We will wait till we can fix it before we start trying out the features.

Zend Data Cache
Version 4.0

Status Error: Could not initialize Zend Data Cache: cannot create new directory in the save path C:\Programme\Zend\ZendServer\tmp\datacache

----------------------------

Zend Page Cache
Version 4.0

Status Error: cannot create new directory in the save path C:\Programme\Zend\ZendServer\tmp\pagecache

---
Server is a Windows Server 2003 Machine, IIS6 and Zend integrated to use IIS (not Apache). Please help us :)

1. Please identify your IIS security user context and give "Read/Write" permissions to IIS user on C:\Programme\Zend\ZendServer\tmp\datacache directory.
2. What happen if you give "Read/Write" permissions to "Everyone" on directory C:\Programme\Zend\ZendServer\tmp ?

Thanks, i got it working now. We needed to Set Read/Write permissions to the user "ZendUser" which we just found.
Could it be that neither in the Installation Guide nor in the Reference Manual anything about that user is documentet? Or did I just made this up myself? :D

Great news!
Probably this mechanism should be outlined better in our documentation;
I will provide your feedback to our documentation team.

Enjoy Zend Server !
