Hotswap Bug Fixing: On-the-fly code fixing

Postby denhama on Fri Jun 29, 2012 4:29 pm

Hi All
Bit of a newbie with ZS9 (was using ZS5.5 until upgrading to Win7) does anyone know if its possible to edit a script while debugging?

I've searched around and looks like eclipse does this but I can't seem to get this to work in ZS9...

Many Thanks
Adam

You can edit it but it will not take effect until the next request. Sort of just the way the PHP engine and debuggers work.

Thanks, tho I'm still unable to amend while degugging, I've attached an image of what I see in ZS9, this shows 2 editor tabs, one on the left I can amend, the one one on the right I'm debugging and unable to amend.

Anyone else come across this?

Many Thanks
Adam

Thanks guys
Fixed now, just in case anyone else has similar prob... in the Firefox Zend Toolbar, select Extra Stuff->Settings and make sure 'Debug local copy' is checked :)

Cheers
