Re: ZF2 Cache

Okay, the caching seems to be working well. I'm concerned about the cache files building up. I implemented a flag that causes my class to run "$this->cache->clearExpired();" and even tried "$this->cache->flush();" and neither one makes any difference. I added php.log entries so I know it's hitting t...

Re: ZF2 Cache

Thanks, tedtiger.
So it checks when trying to read from the cache, then.
I'll try increasing TTL when the recalc process is running. When not running, if the retrieved cache was during a recalc, I'll remove it and cache the new results.

ZF2 Cache

I've implemented a filesystem cache using Zend\Cache to reduce the number of expensive database queries and it's working really well in general. My question relates to the fact that several times during the day one piece of data I'm caching gets regenerated from other systems. What I'd like to do is...

Re: Possible issue running stateless?

No, the jobs were not in MSGW state. When I had the issue with XTOOLKIT jobs they weren't in MSGW either. Naturally, when we're testing and get something wrong and one of the jobs *does* go into MSGW we have to respond to the message appropriately (usually cancel the job). But for these issues where...

Possible issue running stateless?

I had been running with one XTOOLKIT job for production and another for test. On occasion (usually after weeks of running) I found I'd start getting errors (PHP timeout's mostly, I think) and if I ended the XTOOLKIT job they'd get started again and everything would start working again. I tried runni...

Re: Temporary tables in QTEMP & legacy code

I'm no longer sure I can use stateless mode for the toolkit. Is there a way to get to QTEMP files generated in the XTOOLKIT jobs? Basically, I want to call a pgm that creates my data in QTEMP, then I'll read the data and then drop the file -- all in 1 request cycle.

Re: Temporary tables in QTEMP & legacy code

Thanks! I didn't notice the alternate way of instantiating the tso before.

Temporary tables in QTEMP & legacy code

I have a legacy program that creates a table of metrics in QTEMP. I'd like to call the program from PHP, then read the QTEMP table and then delete it, all in one request cycle. I'm running the toolkit "stateless" which says that the XTOOLKIT requests are handled in the SQL server job, but I suspect ...

Re: Impact of going statless in the toolkit

Thanks for the suggestion.
Currently when I need a toolkitserviceobject I've just been using the default profile and setting the library list after creating it.

Re: zend server 6, getting blank page from :10081/zendserver

What are the last lines in your php.log?
5250 terminal:
===> wrklnk '/usr/local/zendsvr6/var/log/php.log'
action 5 to view, enter 'b' in the control field to go to the bottom.

qsh:
tail /usr/local/zendsvr6/var/log/php.log
