ZendStudio 8.0.1. MySQL connection to IBMi fail

Post by ngss1234 » Sun Aug 14, 2011 4:09 pm

I have installed Zend Server 5.1 PHP 5.3 with MySQL into my IBM i R610. Next install Zend Studion 8.0.1 on Window 7. Try to connect to my IBM i using MySQL database, failed to connect. BUT if I use IBM for i, the connection is successful.
I have also performed the same installation and testing on my another IBM i R710. Same failure if using MySQL connection and successful if using DB2 for i connection.
Appreciate advise/guidance.
Many thanks in advance.

the connection to your IBM i server from the desktop looks like it's getting rejected. I'd check firewalls (on the local desktop machine) or access controls form the IBM i side.
