Can't create a remote iseries target for deployment

Post by jbissone » Thu Mar 08, 2012 8:29 pm

I am running studio 9 on Windows and trying to create a deployment target to our iSeries running full licensed Zend Server 5.6 (w hotfix 2).

I am getting the following error if I use a host ending with the ZS port # (ex. http://myhost:10088):
"java.io.IOException: Couldn't read the XML representation. White spaces are required between publicId and systemId."

If I leave the port # off the host (ex. http:myhost) I get a "Communication Error (1001) - Connection refused"

I have tried both Read only and Full API key pairs with the same results. What am I missing?

Thanks!
Jeff

I am having the same issue - I am trying to create a deployment target to an IBM i using Zend Studio 10 - I have the API key as full - the only difference is that I am getting the following error message - "Target is in sleep or hibernate mode." - never heard of an IBM i in sleep/hibernate mode?
