Zend Studio integration wirh Rational Developer for Power

Post by isaacsnk » Tue Jan 11, 2011 9:22 pm

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there's any way to integrated Rational Developer for Power Systems 8.0 with Zend Studio for i5. I'm asking this because I'm a RPG developer who is starting with PHP and Zend, but I would like to use a single IDE instead of having two IDE's opened all the time...

Thanks in advance..

AFAIK is Rational Developer built upon Eclipse and there exists a PHP extension for eclipse: http://www.eclipse.org/pdt/

I don't know what it can or can't, if it's any good, just heard about it.

Yes, Rational Developer is built on Eclipse plaftform. I've been using the PDT plugin but it just lacks of many features that Zend Studio has, so I was hoping that there's was a way to integrate both IDEs in one...like importing the plugins of one into another but I'm not sure if that can be done...

Thanks for the reply erich_hieden ;)

Assuming the Eclipse versions are compatible (I'm not sure what the current version Rational is using ) you may be able to install Studio as a plug-in following the instructions in http://static.zend.com/topics/Install-U ... e-v8-0.pdf
