thousands apache logs

Post by jogisarge » Tue Jul 06, 2010 10:18 am

Hello,

we have installed the new zendserver.
in the apache log directory are many logfiles named error_zfcgi.Q13137...

in the logfiles are the messages
Can not set LANG /usr/local/ZendSvr/bin/php-cgi.bin (0.0) - [2] No such file or director
This problem is already fixed, but the logs are always there.

does the zend server remove the logs any time or could i configurate that ??

or how can i delete all the thousand files ?

Bye jo

You can delete the files easily from the Shell.

On a Commandline call the Shell:

CALL QP2TERM

Then type :

rm /www/zendsvr/logs/error_*

As far as i know Zend Server does not delete the logs.

but if i try, the error /QOpenSys/usr/bin/-sh: 0403-029 not enough memory will b shown.

Any ideas how to fix it ?

Well ok that doesn't sound very good.
Have you got any nearly recent PTF applied?
QP2TERM should work without any configuration changes.

Maybe you should contact IBM

if there are too much files matching the search pattern, the shell can't handle this. you have to use search patterns that match not all files at once and delete the files step by step.

e.g.: rm error_zfcgi.Q[1-2]*

this will delete only files which have a 1 or 2 after the Q
